Reflecto Signs was established 46 years ago in Kimberley, South Africa as a family business, and is, as such, one of
the oldest signage businesses in Kimberley. The business was owned by the Van Niekerk family since 1975 till
2004. when the owner, Philip van Niekerk decided that it was in the best interests of the company to go the Black
Empowerment route. To this end he sold 80% of his membership interest to an existing senior black staff member
and opted to retain 20% membership interest to facilitate and mentor the transformation process.
On 1 December 2004, (Late) Mr Jerome Alban Raynard (Previously Disadvantage Individual) was entrusted to
preserve the culture of high standards renowned to Reflecto Signs.
(Late) Mr. Raynard became sole owner of the company and took it to even greater heights by the introduction of
full colour (digital) printing.
This strategic move will not only ensure the future existence of the company, but also the continued employment
of all staff members.
Reflecto has since grown into a company which has established itself as a leader in the manufacture of signs in the
Northern Cape.
